'Citra MacBook Pro' - Emulation Powerhouse: Demanding Retro Games on the New M1 Macs

In this video, we're showcasing the incredible emulation capabilities of the new M1 MacBook Pros. With decent software support and impressive performance, these laptops can easily handle demanding retro games from various console systems.

For this demonstration, I used the base model MacBook Pro 14' with 8 CPU cores and 14 GPU cores. The Linux and Mac builds were provided by adriweb. With the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, Joycons, and SNES controller compatible with CEMU and Citra, we're able to enjoy a seamless gaming experience.

The games featured in this video include Rogue Squadron II on GameCube/Wii (Dolphin ARM), Zelda Twilight Princess on GameCube/Wii (Dolphin ARM), Sonic Colors on GameCube/Wii (Dolphin ARM), Tatsunoko vs Capcom on GameCube/Wii (Dolphin ARM), Marvel vs Capcom 2 on Dreamcast (Redream), and Zelda Majora's Mask on 3DS (Citra ARM). Additionally, we take a look at GoldenEye Rogue Agent on Xbox (xemu).

While the M1 Pros aren't necessarily recommended for emulation alone, their performance is surprisingly good, especially when playing GameCube and Wii games via Dolphin's ARM build. This video serves as a testament to the power of these laptops and their ability to emulate retro game systems, including GameCube, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PSP.
