Lightroom CC 2020 Mac Torrent: A Massive Performance Boost

In our previous tests, we didn't expect much improvement from Lightroom CC on Apple Silicon. However, the latest version has surprised us with a significant performance boost.

But that's not all - the ARM-optimized version of Lightroom CC also outperformed its predecessor in import tests. It was about 13.5% faster than Rosetta 2 emulation for both Sony and PhaseOne files, and 20-24% faster than the Intel version running on an Intel chip.

We ran multiple tests to ensure consistency, presenting the results as the average of at least three consecutive runs. We also switched to 1:1 previews to ignore changes in screen resolution and preview size, which gave us a better basis for comparison.

While some photographers may still prefer Lightroom Classic over its cloud-based sibling, Adobe has made significant progress with this latest version. In fact, Capture One 21, a major rival of Lightroom Classic, also saw performance gains with the release of Version 14.2 optimized for Apple Silicon.

For Adobe, the stakes are high, especially given their previous experience with optimizing apps for Apple Silicon. However, it seems that they have finally delivered a worthy performer with this latest version of Lightroom CC.
